- Sodium Bicarbonate ( Baking Soda)
Baking Soda is a mixture of sodium ions and bicarbonate ions which helps your body get rid of toxins. These ions help remove bacteria, odors, acidity and is useful as an antifungal agent against many of the fungal strains that commonly infect human skin and nails.
Baking soda is an alkaline substance and when combined with water, it makes the water slightly more alkaline making the water feel a little more silky. This can reduce irritation and itching and leave your body soft and silky smooth.
Jojoba oil is the liquid produced in the seed of the simmondsia chinensis plant, a shrub, which is native to southern Arizona, southern California, and northwestern Mexico. Jojoba oil is deeply-hydrating and easily absorbed into skin. It deeply penetrates to soothe and soften while providing an excellent moisturizing effect and adding a healthy glow.
Because Jojoba oil is very similar to our own skin oils, it immediately penetrates skin and smoothes easily, helping to promote healthy, glowing skin without clogging pores or leaving a greasy residue. Jojoba oil doesn’t evaporate like water based moisturizers, so it’s long lasting.
Jojoba oil has anti-inflammatory properties that keep skin calm and comfortable. It also naturally deters microbes, helping to prevent the growth of bacteria on skin. This property makes it useful for those with acne, and provides an added wound-healing benefit. Jojoba is full of nutrients like Vitamin E and B, as well as antioxidants and minerals like chromium, copper, and zinc, which all nourish and protect skin. Jojoba oil can help fade fine lines and wrinkles. The jojoba oil we used in our products is organic and cold-pressed which provide the highest level of antioxidants and nutrients.
Dead Sea Salt contains 21 minerals including magnesium, calcium, sulfur, bromide, iodine, sodium, zinc and potassium. Though these essential minerals are found in our bodies, they are lost throughout the day. These minerals assist in cleansing, detoxifying, and restoring a healthy status quo to the body, including the skin and muscles. The rich minerals work to exfoliate dead skin, leaving you with smooth, plump, revitalized skin.
Calcium promotes skin growth and regeneration, moisture retention, and stimulates the production of antioxidants. Sodium helps cleanse and exfoliate the skin, neutralise free radicals which can degenerate skin cells, and relieve sore muscles. Zinc also helps heal and rejuvenate skin, ward off acne, and protects the skin’s lipids and fibroblasts cells that create collagen. Potassium is great for keeping skin moist and plump, and for reducing puffiness while sulphur helps decongest pores.
A soothing bath in Dead Sea Salt water can work wonders for the skin. It helps hydrate, calm inflammation, soothes muscles and fights off allergens and microbes. Dead Sea salt has wonderful antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial properties that help cleanse and detoxify the pores by driving out oils, dirt and other impurities which helps to eliminate acne.
