Epsom salt is also known as magnesium sulfate. Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in the body & also a mineral that a lot of people don’t get enough of. Epsom salt is a chemical compound made up of magnesium, sulfur, and oxygen. When dissolved in water, it releases ions and allows minerals to "draw out" harmful toxins and balance the body.
